Hearts for Okinawa

Hello. Welcome my name is Shannon Shaffer and Im the Director for Hearts for Okinawa's page. Hearts for Okinawa is a group dedicated to supporting single parents and low income families across Okinawa.  Many of the people we support are those facing difficult times financially, those going into domestic violence shelters, and single parents that are needing help.

At HelpOki's Community Center, we have a support closet that contains hygiene products, children's clothing and sneakers, baby diapers, and more. We are ready to serve no matter the time of day or night. We know sometimes emergencies happen, and when it happens we are ready to serve and provide those essential items.

One of our big projects every year is making Mother's Day baskets for single less fortunate mothers (and fathers) in need. We provide a free basket/bag full of hygiene supplies, snacks and cosmetic items to them.
